Treatment and Recovery Resource Inventory for Opioid Services
The Colorado Regional Health Connectors (RHC) Program and Department of Family Medicine (DFM) partnered together to create an inventory of opioid treatment and recovery services in three regions across Colorado.
The goals of this pilot project included capturing current information on local treatment and recovery resources for opioid services, identifying gaps in services, and thus obtaining a better understanding of how resource inventories could be used by providers and the community to support other local initiatives. This process yielded lessons learned that will inform the future of this work statewide.
Resource inventories are difficult to compile, manage, and keep up to date. They require people on the ground, ready to reach out to their networks and partners in the community, to keep these inventories useful.
